About the Role

Northeastern University London seeks an Assistant / Associate Professor in Fintech Management for two 12-month fixed-term positions. The role involves teaching undergraduate and/or graduate students and providing service to the discipline, with appointments commensurate with experience and qualifications. Preference may be given to candidates with interests in Fintech's relationship with Financial Management, International Finance, Investments, and Data Analytics. Responsibilities

  • Development and provision of innovative and inclusive teaching in relevant areas of Business at undergraduate and/or graduate levels.
  • Professional service commensurate to career stage.
  • Engage and develop working relationships with external partners and colleagues across diverse disciplines.
  • Undertake continuous professional development in relation to institutionally strategic themes, including technology, data, sustainability, and ethics.
  • Develop excellent educational provision in areas with significant appeal to students, including at postgraduate level, with a focus on experiential learning.
  • Teaching competency in Project Management to Levels 4–7 (undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels).
  • Support the integration of technologies into learning and teaching.

Requirements

  • For Assistant Professor: PhD completed, or near completion (all but dissertation), or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant area.
  • For Associate Professor: PhD completed, or equivalent professional experience, in a relevant area.
  • FHEA status, or equivalent, achieved or expected (desirable for Assistant Professor, required for Associate Professor).
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills, both face-to-face and online.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Excellent time-management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Must adhere to safeguarding policies.
  • Willingness and capacity to undertake continuous professional development.

Salary/Compensations

  • Assistant Professor (G8) £49,469 to £57,316, progressing to £60,795 per annum once in post.
  • Associate Professor (G9) £59,030 to £72,555, progressing to £79,276 per annum once in post.
