About the Role
This role brings together carrier integration specialists and the carrier partnerships team under one leader, establishing a single point of accountability for carrier integrations, carrier relationships, and AI-driven transformation of this work.
Responsibilities
- Own nShift's operational relationship with carrier partners, applying proactive attention based on customer impact.
- Build a proactive approach to carrier-side changes to anticipate issues.
- Maintain a clear view of carrier service availability across products.
- Lead the adoption of AI and automation to make carrier integration faster and more scalable.
- Define the target operating model for the carrier function, clarifying ownership.
- Establish clear commercial boundaries between standard platform carrier work and bespoke, customer-funded work.
- Introduce metrics that track meaningful progress in effort and reliability.
- Own end-to-end delivery coordination for carrier work across the team and Engineering.
- Partner with Product and Engineering on the roadmap for carrier tooling and automation.
- Introduce earlier validation on new carrier requirements to reduce late-stage delivery risk.
- Lead, coach, and develop team leads and their teams across integration delivery and carrier partnerships.
- Build a resilient team structure that avoids over-reliance on a small number of individuals.
- Support internal talent development alongside external hiring.
- Set clear triage boundaries with Support, Professional Services, and Sales.
- Partner with Support and CX leadership on escalation root-cause analysis.
- Raise carrier literacy across the business.
- Represent the carrier function in executive and cross-functional forums.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience leading a technical integration, platform, or partner/carrier management function, ideally in SaaS, e-commerce or logistics technology.
- Track record leading teams through operating-model change or automation-driven transformation.
- Experience navigating senior leadership environments, influencing executive stakeholders, and translating complex operational issues into clear business decisions.
- Experience owning a partner or vendor relationship function, including tiered relationship management.
- Working knowledge of carrier or logistics connectivity concepts.
- Experience coordinating delivery across multiple engineering teams.
