About the Role
Vexcash AG is Germany's leading online provider of short-term loans, offering customers a quick and uncomplicated solution to bridge the time until the next payday. With over 800,000 customers, we provide financial liquidity without long-term commitments. Due to our continued success, we are seeking a Head of Finance and Accounting (all genders).
Responsibilities
- Leading the finance department
- Accounting, including independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensuring and controlling all compliance requirements and supporting internal and external audits
- Preparing regular reports and ad-hoc analyses based on cost and performance metrics (e.g., target-actual analyses and productivity analyses)
- Ensuring up-to-date expertise in payment transactions, FinTech, and banking
- Cross-border transactions within the EU
- Capital procurement
Requirements
- A degree in business administration or another relevant qualification
- Several years of relevant professional experience in a leadership position in the finance sector
- Very good German language skills and good, applicable English language skills
- Familiarity with the banking or FinTech sector
- Knowledge of relevant tax laws
- Experience with common ERP systems
- Ability to work well in a team
