About the Role

We are seeking an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor to join our team, providing stimulating and effective teaching to international students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This role is ideal for candidates with experience or a keen interest in module coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students.
  • Plan, deliver, and review a range of learning activities.
  • Develop and update innovative teaching material.
  • Work collaboratively as part of different teams to improve the student experience.
  • Utilize technology to inform teaching practice and embrace innovations.

Requirements

  • CELTA qualified (or equivalent) is mandatory.
  • Experience of teaching to post 16 students.
  • Ability to plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities.
  • Ability to develop and update innovative teaching material.
  • Ability to work collaboratively.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure.
  • Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice.
  • A Post Graduate qualification, strong first degree, or relevant professional experience will be considered.
  • Must be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
  • Must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (including children’s barred list) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
  • Must be willing to complete a Prohibition from Teaching Check.

Experience Level

  • Post Graduate qualification, strong first degree or relevant professional experience will be considered.

Salary/Compensations

  • £36,000 - £38,000 per annum pro rata
