About the Role

The Natural Resources & Energy Transition (NET) team provides strategic and event-driven advisory and capital raising services. We require an Associate to join our market-leading NET team in Australia as it continues to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a project/deal team lead, driving the work product and transaction processes.
  • Participate in the execution of equity and debt financing and M&A transactions.
  • Perform in-depth financial, valuation, product, and industry analysis, and due diligence.
  • Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and live deal materials.
  • Build financial models.
  • Attend client meetings.
  • Help generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients.
  • Train and mentor junior bankers (Analysts) as they develop core investment banking skill sets.
  • Learn from and work with teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers, experts in other areas of the firm, and colleagues from around the globe.

Requirements

  • Investment banking experience, ideally within Natural Resources, Energy, Infrastructure, or Industrials.
  • Outstanding academic achievement.
  • Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • A bachelor's degree plus 3+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, modeling/valuation, or consulting experience.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
