About the Role
We are seeking a numerate and commercially curious graduate to join our London finance team. This role offers broad exposure across Finance, aiming to build a strong technical foundation and deepen understanding of the specialty insurance business. You will collaborate with experienced finance professionals on reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and business partnering.
Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory and management reporting.
- Support the month-end close process, including journal preparation, accruals, and prepayments.
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolving open items.
- Contribute to maintaining robust financial controls and supporting audit requests.
- Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Build and maintain reports and dashboards tracking key financial and operational metrics.
- Analyze business performance and translate numbers into clear commercial insight.
- Assist with ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across the business.
Requirements
- A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related numerate discipline (2:1 or above preferred).
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
- Studying towards or intending to start a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to ask questions.
- Genuine interest in building a career in finance and insurance.
