About the Role

We are seeking a numerate and commercially curious graduate to join our London finance team. This role offers broad exposure across Finance, aiming to build a strong technical foundation and deepen understanding of the specialty insurance business. You will collaborate with experienced finance professionals on reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and business partnering.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory and management reporting.
• Support the month-end close process, including journal preparation, accruals, and prepayments.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolving open items.
• Contribute to maintaining robust financial controls and supporting audit requests.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards tracking key financial and operational metrics.
• Analyze business performance and translate numbers into clear commercial insight.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across the business.

Requirements

• A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related numerate discipline (2:1 or above preferred).
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
• Studying towards or intending to start a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
• Good communication skills and the confidence to ask questions.
• Genuine interest in building a career in finance and insurance.
