About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining the store's appearance and cleanliness to ensure a positive brand experience for customers. It involves delivering friendly customer service, assisting shoppers, and performing various cleaning duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
- Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
- Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
- Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
- Deep clean key areas of the store, including bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and high traffic areas.
- Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
- Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
- Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
- Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
- Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs for compliance.
- Execute Company policies and standards.
Requirements
- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.
- Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
