About the Role
Support the Legal Team with general administrative work, including corporate secretarial matters, legal research, updating precedent documents, and preparing for committee meetings. Assist with contract execution, manage the Legal Team inbox, and handle general office administration. Gain insightful legal experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the Legal Team with general administrative work
- Handle corporate secretarial matters
- Conduct legal research
- Update precedent documents, playbooks, and trackers
- Prepare for committee meetings and take minutes
- Support the execution of contracts
- Monitor and field queries sent to the Legal Team inbox
- Manage general office administration, including couriers and post
- Assist with intellectual property matters
- Assist with trade mark matters
- Assist with data privacy matters
- Review marketing copy and assets
- Draft and review legal letters and correspondence (e.g., termination letters, amendments, addendums)
- Draft and review non-disclosure agreements and other legal agreements (e.g., influencer contracts, Powers of Attorney, renewal contracts, statements of work)
- Draft terms and conditions for competitions, programmes, and promotions
- Assist lawyers with day-to-day matters and projects
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a similar role
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint and Outlook, DocuSign, OneDrive and SharePoint
- Exemplary organisation skills with demonstrable aptitude for time-management and work prioritisation
- Excellent attention to detail
- A proactive, flexible, and can-do attitude
- Willingness to support multiple members of the Legal Team across a broad range of matters
- Ability to adapt to changing business priorities
- Comfortable taking ownership of administrative and coordination tasks
- Ability to escalate appropriately where legal input or supervision is required
- Highest levels of discretion, integrity, and appreciation of the sensitivity of matters dealt with by a Legal Team and within a high-profile organisation
- Experience and understanding of the urgency of legal and regulatory deadlines and their ramifications
