About the Role

User Platform owns Spotify's Consumer and Business Identity & Access Management (IAM) platform, acting as the front door to Spotify. We build experiences and capabilities for secure access across various products and enable trusted decisions using high-quality identity data. This role will shape the next generation of our User Platform strategy, impacting growth, safety, subscriptions, advertising, personalization, compliance, and future product innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Define product strategy and roadmap for account lifecycle management, IAM analytics, and device and client intelligence.
  • Partner with engineering, data science, analytics, design, research, and insights teams to shape product direction.
  • Collaborate across missions, studios, and product areas to evolve the identity and user data platform.
  • Build Spotify's account lifecycle platform with defined states, governed transitions, and audit capabilities.
  • Lead the product vision for User Intelligence, a shared platform for understanding users, devices, and sessions.
  • Partner with teams like User Fraud, Subscriptions, Advertising, Personalization, Safety, Legal, and Platform to leverage trusted identity data.
  • Translate complex identity, trust, and data challenges into clear product strategies and prioritization decisions.
  • Define success metrics including platform adoption, signal quality, data trust, and decision latency.
  • Balance long-term platform investments with near-term business priorities, regulatory requirements, and user experience.
  • Foster an effective product operating rhythm across multiple squads by creating clarity, alignment, and shared ownership.

Requirements

  • Significant product management experience building platform products, identity systems, infrastructure, or large-scale consumer technology.
  • Experience working with backend platforms, APIs, distributed systems, identity platforms, policy engines, or large-scale data products.
  • Deep care for creating trusted user experiences where security, privacy, safety, and usability work together.
  • Use data to inform judgment, validate assumptions, and make thoughtful product decisions, balancing qualitative and quantitative evidence.
  • Enjoy solving complex, cross-functional problems requiring influence, collaboration, and strong product thinking.
  • Build trusted partnerships across Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, Data, Operations, and business teams.
  • Communicate highly technical concepts to enable informed business decisions for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build alignment across diverse stakeholders while maintaining focus on long-term product outcomes.
  • Bring a structured, proactive approach and comfort creating clarity from complex and evolving challenges.
  • Care about building platforms that enable teams to move faster while creating trusted experiences for millions of Spotify users.
