About the Role

We are seeking a Mathematics & Physical Sciences Tutor to teach Mathematics and Physical Sciences, including Physics and Engineering modules, to international students preparing for undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Responsibilities

• Teach across Mathematics and Physical Sciences including Physics and Engineering related modules.
• Contribute flexibly across subject areas.
• Support students from diverse educational backgrounds.
• Provide stimulating, effective teaching to international students.
• Plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities.
• Develop and update innovative teaching material.
• Work collaboratively as part of different teams to improve the student experience.
• Embrace innovations in teaching practice.

Requirements

• Experience of teaching to post 16 students.
• Ability to plan, deliver and review a range of learning activities.
• Ability to develop and update innovative teaching material.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of different teams.
• Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
• Demonstrable experience of using technology to inform teaching practice.
• Willingness to embrace innovations.
• Post Graduate qualification, strong first degree, or relevant professional experience will be considered.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Successful applicants will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure (including children’s barred list) via the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
• For roles that include teaching or coaching, a Prohibition from Teaching Check will be completed through the Teaching Regulation Agency.
• Must not be barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
