About the Role
Product designers at Alan are responsible for building products from inception to completion, collaborating with product managers, researchers, and engineers to create meaningful and human experiences that improve member health. The design community is vibrant and inclusive, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop a product vision and enable teams to explore, ideate, and experiment towards it.
- Autonomously take product bets from zero to one when required.
- Communicate transversally using written, visual, and verbal techniques.
- Build an understanding of members to nurture product thinking and transform insights into actionable opportunities.
- Maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with product managers, researchers, and engineers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Develop and evangelize design understanding and sensibility across the organization.
- Mentor junior designers to increase collective performance and quality.
- Deliver UI consistent with Alan’s brand, maintaining high-quality standards.
- Contribute to the design system with component documentation for designers and engineers.
- Evaluate and maintain product quality through continuous monitoring and testing.
Requirements
- Based in or within commuting distance of one of our hubs (Paris, Bordeaux, Marseille, Brussels, Madrid, or Barcelona).
- Ability to work onsite twice per week.
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a track record of designing and building products from concept to launch.
- Experience working within cross-functional product and engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.
- Design mentorship experience, including coaching and guiding junior designers.
- Proven skills across UX research, UI design, and visual design.
- Ability to deliver production-ready assets for seamless developer implementation.
- Curiosity and experience leveraging AI-powered design tools and emerging technologies.
- Fluent in English for effective collaboration with the international team.
