About the Role

As a pedagogical professional in our short-term and crisis group P4, you will accompany young people in important life phases, provide support, orientation, and foster their individual strengths. You will help shape a safe place for living, learning, and growing within our stationary group for children and adolescents aged 9 to 14.

Responsibilities

  • Accompany and care for children and adolescents within the key worker system, considering their individual needs.
  • Strengthen clients' emotional stability and promote their personal development.
  • Create a protected pedagogical development environment.
  • Ensure child protection and establish a safe, secure, and crisis-free environment.
  • Maintain a systematic and resource-oriented perspective on the family of origin, their life world, and social environment.
  • Collaboratively establish age-appropriate goals and perspectives.
  • Organize, conduct, and accompany leisure and group activities.
  • Engage in intensive work with parents and families.
  • Cooperate and maintain transparency with all parties involved in the support process.
  • Participate in and contribute to support conferences.

Requirements

  • Completed training as a state-recognized educator or remedial educator.
  • Willingness to work shifts (24-hour care), including in challenging crisis situations.
  • Enjoy working with children and adolescents with behavioral issues and value collaborative work with their families.
  • High level of empathy and understanding for individual, often difficult, life situations.
  • Ability to apply pedagogical expertise reflectively, confidently, and solution-oriented in the daily operations of a crisis group.
  • Reliability, teamwork skills, and flexibility, along with a readiness to take responsibility and work independently.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to providing stability, safety, and orientation to children and adolescents in acute crises.
  • An open, resilient, and positive personality to actively support our multidisciplinary team.
