About the Role
As an AWS/Azure Cloud Services & Snowflake Data Platform Consultant, you will help clients solve complex business challenges using data-driven technologies. You will develop modern data platforms and unlock value in key business areas such as Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and guide teams of data experts, providing technical direction, fostering their development, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Design, implement, and optimize scalable data solutions using AWS/Azure cloud services and the Snowflake Data Platform, developing robust data models for analytics and reporting.
- Manage the integration of diverse data sources into Snowflake and oversee data preparation processes according to best practices for cleansing, enrichment, and transformation.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and high-performing technical solutions, including demonstrations, prototypes, and Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
- Establish and ensure the sustainable implementation of data governance, quality, security, and compliance standards. Monitor cloud infrastructure for performance, cost-efficiency, and operational stability.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study.
- Extensive professional experience in building and operating modern data platforms.
- Several years of practical experience with AWS or Azure cloud services and the Snowflake Data Platform.
- Sound understanding of cloud architectures, data warehousing, distributed computing, and data integration.
- Practical experience with relevant cloud services such as ADF or Glue, Lambda, ADLS or S3, SNS, OneLake, and EventBridge.
- Proficient in SQL and scripting with Python or Bash.
- In-depth expertise in Snowflake, particularly in data modeling and data governance.
- Fluent communication in German and English (minimum C1 level for both).
