About the Role
As a Snowflake Data Engineer, you will support clients in solving complex business challenges using data-driven technologies. You will develop modern data platforms and unlock value in key business areas such as Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, and Finance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate scalable big data pipelines in cloud environments with a focus on the Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse.
- Analyze, modernize, and migrate existing on-premises ETL processes to future-proof cloud platforms.
- Collaborate with clients and relevant stakeholders to define business requirements and support their technical implementation.
- Develop high-performance data models, perform performance tuning, and utilize advanced Snowflake features for optimal performance.
- Implement modern data pipelines for batch and real-time processing using technologies like Kafka, NiFi, DBT, Matillion, Palantir, or Informatica.
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- 4-7 years of professional experience in Big Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or ETL environments.
- Sound knowledge of Azure and/or AWS data platforms.
- Experience in data modeling, distributed systems, SQL and NoSQL databases, and batch and real-time data processing.
- Practical experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with agile delivery methods, DevOps, and containerization.
- Experience with Apache Iceberg and data formats like ORC, Parquet, and AVRO.
