About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will influence how we attract and hire early career talent, deliver high-quality hiring outcomes for our regional offices (Bridgend and Leicester), and ensure the smooth and compliant operation of our contingent workforce. This role combines hands-on recruitment delivery with program ownership, focusing on developing strong stakeholder relationships, creating a market-leading candidate experience, and building a scalable hiring approach. You will play a key role in shaping how we attract and develop future talent.

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of Early Careers hiring cycles: attraction planning, advert posting, screening, selection design, offer processes and stakeholder updates.
  • Design and run selection activity ensuring fairness, consistency and great candidate experience.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Hiring Managers, HR, TA, L&D) and external partners (schools/colleges/ and D&I) to build an effective pipeline and a strong employer brand.
  • Maintain clear communications with candidates and ensure a positive, professional experience from application through to onboarding.
  • Contribute to the Early Careers strategy and lead execution of agreed hiring plans.
  • Lead end-to-end recruitment for roles within the Bridgend International Delivery Centre and our Leicester office (excl. Underwriting), shaping job requirements with Hiring Managers, managing shortlisting/screening, coordinating interviews, and advising on selection decisions.
  • Build local market insight and talent pipelines for Bridgend and Leicester, using appropriate channels and outreach to support volume and specialist hiring needs.
  • Own day-to-day governance and coordination of contingent hiring: requisition intake, supplier engagement, onboarding steps, extensions, end dates and documentation; ensuring clean data and clear controls.
  • Support the organisation’s contingent workforce approach, ensuring accurate worker records, approvals, and reporting.
  • Partner with HR/Procurement/Finance stakeholders to maintain compliant, cost-aware contingent processes and reduce operational risk.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Hiring Managers; setting expectations, guiding selection best practice, and ensuring a consistent and inclusive hiring process.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements with a focus on improving experience and quality across talent acquisition metrics.
  • Maintain accurate ATS, ensure timely updates and MI such as pipelines, conversion rates, time-to-hire/time-to-stage and campaign performance.
  • Ensure recruitment activity aligns with internal policies and appropriate data handling standards.

Requirements

  • Proven Talent Acquisition experience delivering end-to-end recruitment, including screening, stakeholder management and interview/selection support.
  • Proven expertise in direct sourcing and proactive pipeline building.
  • Experience supporting or delivering Early Careers hiring (apprenticeships, internships, work experience or similar) and understanding how to create a strong candidate experience.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation: able to manage multiple requisitions/programmes and high volumes at peak times.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and advise Hiring Managers using clear rationale and data.
  • Demonstrable commitment to delivering an inclusive and high-quality candidate experience.
  • Process-driven, detail-focused and comfortable working in regulated / policy-led environments.
  • Strong systems capability (ATS + Excel/MI), with a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Financial services / insurance / banking recruitment experience.
  • Experience supporting contingent workforce management and/or working with a VMS/MSP model.
  • Experience designing and running assessment centres/assessment days and structured selection approaches.
  • Familiarity with attraction strategies for regional talent markets.
  • Interest in continuous improvement and using recruitment data to enhance outcomes.
