About the Role

The Automation U-Bahn team is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the remote control and automation technology for the energy supply systems of the U-Bahn rectifier plants. In this position, you will accompany projects from planning through commissioning to ongoing operation and actively contribute to the safe and reliable energy supply of the U-Bahn.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and control of systems via a modern network control system.
  • Conducting negotiations with internal departments and external contractors.
  • Preparing tender documents and accompanying the awarding and implementation of projects.
  • Independently carrying out commissioning with external companies and taking over construction management.
  • Creating final documentation and making adjustments and optimizations to existing systems.
  • Preparing documentation for the implementation of IT security requirements according to BSI specifications for the control system.
  • Monitoring and adapting IT components such as servers, switches, and firewalls.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Electrical and Information Engineering, Automation Technology, or Energy Technology, or equivalent skills and knowledge based on many years of professional experience.
  • Negotiation-proof German language skills (Level C2) required.
  • Readiness to take on on-call duty.
  • Valid driver's license class B.

Skills

  • Experience with electrical systems of various voltage levels, such as low, high, and direct voltage systems.
  • Experience in IT security and basic knowledge of the BSI Basic Security Ordinance.
  • Interest in acquiring switching authorization for U-Bahn energy supply systems.

Salary/Compensations

  • €4,592.37 - €5,106.13 per month (Entgeltgruppe 11 TV-N Berlin)
