About the Role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our Commercial Legal Team, supporting stakeholders in assessing and managing legal, regulatory, and commercial risks. This role involves designing contractual solutions, negotiating agreements, and providing counsel on strategic initiatives within the dynamic sports betting and gaming industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contractual matters with existing and future suppliers.
• Lead group-wide projects.
• Participate in RFP and due diligence reviews of suppliers.
• Provide commercial and regulatory counsel on key strategic initiatives.
• Provide day-to-day legal advice.
• Resolve issues in existing and new games commercial relationships.
• Assist on licensing matters.
• Handle pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
• Structure, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements (marketing, technology, licence).
• Serve as lead counsel and advise business clients on strategic deals.
• Advise senior stakeholders on new product launches and manage legal aspects.
• Advise on the commercial implications of existing contractual obligations.
• Review, adjust, and advise on customer-facing terms and conditions.
• Serve as subject matter expert and strategic advisor on legal obligations.
• Help develop and manage risk protection programs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Provide advice and manage external counsel.
• Proactively monitor and review legislation to ensure accurate inventories of legal obligations.

Requirements

• England & Wales or Gibraltar-qualified lawyer with 1 or more years PQE.
• Strong free drafting and negotiating ability.
• Enthusiastic about taking ownership of projects and involvement in all legal aspects.
• Comfortable working in a large team and independently on smaller projects.
• Pro-active and driven attitude.
• Comfortable liaising with and advising senior management.
• Excellent attention to detail and prioritization skills.
• Proven ability to meet demanding deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
