About the Role

GermanDream is seeking a person to bridge volunteer engagement and program work, focusing on operational coordination and community activation. This role is crucial for strengthening volunteerism, developing community structures, and enhancing the connection between educational formats and the people who make them possible.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the involvement of value ambassadors, moderators, and other stakeholders in educational and exchange formats.
• Maintain contact with the community, manage schedules, agreements, and handovers.
• Ensure participants are well-informed, engaged, and ready to participate.
• Focus on operational coordination and activation of the network.
• Match individuals with suitable formats.
• Support onboarding and accompaniment processes.
• Utilize community feedback for program work.
• Accompany and activate the community of value ambassadors, moderators, and other volunteers.
• Coordinate onboarding, accompaniment, and activation processes for volunteers.
• Maintain contact with community members, ensuring clear, appreciative, and reliable communication.
• Maintain overviews, contact details, agreements, and relevant information for community work.
• Identify community needs, feedback, and interests and relay them to the team.
• Support exchange formats like get-togethers, qualifications, or community meetings organizationally and content-wise.
• Coordinate the integration of value ambassadors, moderators, and other participants into ongoing educational formats and projects.
• Align with the team to match project needs with available community resources.
• Coordinate schedules, information, inquiries, and handovers between the community, program work, and external stakeholders.
• Support the planning, organization, and execution of participation, exchange, and qualification formats.
• Ensure experiences and feedback from engagements are visible and incorporated into future work.
• Document relevant experiences, learnings, and feedback from community work.
• Prepare information for team, program work, and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate closely with various roles within the GermanDream team, especially at the interfaces of community, project planning, and quality/learning.
• Provide early feedback on unclear processes, handovers, or responsibilities.
• Support in making existing community work processes clearer, more reliable, and practical.

Requirements

• First to several years of experience in project coordination, community work, volunteer coordination, educational work, political education, or a comparable context.
• Experience working with volunteers, groups, participants, or communities (professionally, voluntarily, or within projects).
• Ability to approach, activate, and reliably accompany people.
• Structured work approach with the ability to manage multiple contacts, appointments, and parallel tasks.
• Clear, appreciative, and reliable communication skills.
• Ability to sort, document, and make information usable for others.
• Enjoyment of coordination and interface work.
• Interest in democracy education, participation, political education, and social cohesion.
• Work in a discrimination-sensitive, inclusive, and value-based manner.
• Proficiency with digital work tools or ability to learn quickly.
