About the Role
The APC is the first point of contact for the retailer regarding all operational issues for ELC brands on the shop floor. The role is to achieve counter sales goals and business objectives through efficient management of daily counter operations, focusing on inventory, MinMax, Visual Merchandising, branded staff, and promotions. This position requires discretion and integrity due to access to confidential information.
Responsibilities
- Provide weekly qualitative and quantitative feedback on sales and BA performance.
- Work with brand staff on executing brand targets.
- Support the SEE to ensure brand staff are engaged to drive seasonal sales plans.
- Follow up at store level to execute promotional programs/events and provide feedback.
- Prepare monthly reports on sell-through figures, pax trend, competitor activities, retailer promotions, and ELC brand incentives.
- Supervise and execute daily counter duties including housekeeping, merchandising, stock availability, testers, signage, and VM materials.
- Report counter maintenance issues and brand staff absences to the SEE.
- Provide feedback to the SEE on promoters and brand staff regarding training, grooming, operations, and sales reporting.
- Review and adjust Min/Max stock levels and shelf capacity to meet sales demand and presentation standards.
- Monitor out-of-stock products and follow up with the Retail Store team and SEE/ASOM.
- Manage non-saleable inventory (GWP, TOA, testers, etc.) and implement follow-up actions.
- Ensure brand visual merchandising aligns with brand guidelines and maximizes sales potential.
- Assist with promotional events and setups at the counter.
- Share photos of launch changes, promo setups, and event setups with the SEE and rectify any setup issues.
- Take reasonable care of personal and others' health and safety.
- Cooperate with management in providing a healthy and safe workplace.
- Report incidents or accidents as per Company process.
- Undertake duties in accordance with WHS principles, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- Previous retail management experience (ideally 2+ years in duty-free or cosmetics).
- Strong business acumen with a result-driven and customer-oriented mindset.
- Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and manage tight schedules.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Good command of computer skills, including Excel and Word.
