About the Role

This role is responsible for delivering Council’s scheduled parks asset inspection program, ensuring accurate condition assessments, risk identification and high quality asset data. The majority of this role is performed on site across Council’s parks and open spaces, requiring regular field inspections and a practical, hands on approach. You’ll also work cross functionally to support capital works, asset renewals and ongoing improvements to Council’s asset management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of parks assets, including condition ratings, defect identification and risk mitigation.
  • Use ArcGIS and OneCouncil (Tech One) to update and manage the Parks Asset Register.
  • Complete post construction handover inspections and action asset capitalisation or decommissioning requirements.
  • Allocate post inspection works and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support maintenance and renewal programs.

Requirements

  • Hands on experience with parks or play equipment maintenance and general parks infrastructure.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments and applying risk mitigation practices.
  • Confidence using ArcGIS and OneCouncil (Tech One), particularly mobility applications.
  • Trade Certificate in construction field or Business Management/Project Management Diploma
  • Conduct Operational Inspection of Park Facilities (Level 2 Playground Inspections)
  • Class C NSW Driver Licence
  • Must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident in Australia.

Salary/Compensations

  • $100,112 to $110,247 + 12% Superannuation
