About the Role

Provide essential operational, governance, and administrative support to the Deputy Head of People and the broader Centre of Excellence team, playing a key role in shaping the future of an iconic Australian institution.

Responsibilities

  • Support tender and procurement activities, including evaluation processes and procurement schedules.
  • Manage contract administration, including invoicing and contract record maintenance.
  • Ensure procurement, governance, and compliance documentation is maintained and up to date.
  • Partner with Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams to onboard vendors and manage supplier relationships.
  • Provide coordination and administrative support to the Deputy Head of People.
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Prepare and coordinate internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across team operations and governance processes.

Requirements

  • Experience providing team coordination or operational support within a People, Strategy and Governance, or corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated procurement planning and contract management experience, with an understanding of governance and compliance requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and with external vendors.
  • Excellent organisational skills, the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Collaborative and proactive approach, with a commitment to fostering trust, accountability, and innovation.
  • Experience supporting reporting, governance activities, and strategic initiatives will be highly regarded.
