About the Role

ABCD is seeking a full-time Preschool Assistant Teacher in Training to promote the theories and principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support under the direction of the Lead Teacher and Education Coordinator. The role involves putting into practice sound principles of child education, with a focus on obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) certification within 6 months to 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes the theories and principles of child growth and development, early childhood education, and family support.
  • Puts into practice theories and sound principles of child education.
  • Will remain in training until successful obtainment of CDA certification.

Requirements

  • Will obtain Childhood Development Associate (CDA) certification within 6 months - 1 year of hire.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.

Education Level

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited institution (Preferred)
  • Associate degree in a related field with 6 credit-bearing courses relevant to competencies in early childhood education AND experience working with young children (Accepted)
