About the Role
Senior Scientist (R&D) is responsible for method development, validation, and analytical support activities for dietary supplements/pharmaceutical raw materials and finished products. This role requires strong technical expertise in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques, regulatory understanding, and the ability to guide junior scientists.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC, GC‑FID, LC‑MS/MS, GC‑MS/MS, ICP‑OES, ICP‑MS, IC, etc.) for raw materials and finished products.
- Develop and optimize sample‑preparation procedures for complex‑matrix finished forms.
- Perform and document method validation/verification per USP and ICH Q2(R2) guidelines.
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments; ensure calibration and qualification compliance.
- Mentor junior chemists, train staff, and support work planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must have good understanding of cGMPs and able to author quality investigations.
- Proficient in using softwares (such as Empower, openlab, Masshunter, Masslynx etc.) including custom field calculations.
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity for handling small tools and instruments.
