About the Role

This office-based clinical role serves adults whose lives have been impacted by substance use and works collaboratively with clients and other providers and resources. This position helps individuals develop stabilization skills with a recovery and harm-reduction focus, bringing about more positive impacts for the individual and the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and recommendations for level of care.
• Collaborate with client and CSUS treatment team with referrals to appropriate providers and community support services.
• Provide group and individual therapy in collaboration with WCMHS and external programs serving adults and families.
• Provide support services such as outreach visits, benefit access, and assistance with parenting and independent living skills.
• May include transporting clients when clinically indicated.
• Attend and engage in staff meetings, trainings, individual and group supervision.
• Maintain case records and productivity rates to WCMHS standards, timing, and expectations.

Requirements

• Master's level clinician required.
• Knowledge of the effects of substance use and experience with clients experiencing substance use disorders.
• Knowledge of and experience with treatment modalities in substance use and mental health.
• Demonstrated clinical and assessment skills, oral and written.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and group facilitation skills.
• Knowledge of existence and referral process to agency and community resources.
• Demonstrated ability to professionally and reliably work as a team member, including in creation and participation in treatment team meetings, client advocacy, and behavior management consultation.
• The ability to deliver services and maintain treatment notes in English.
• Consistent access to a safe, inspected, and insured vehicle is required.
• Must be willing to work some evening hours.
