About the Role
This role is for a Business Development Lead responsible for expanding the company's footprint across ANZ, managing a portfolio, and leading a team to achieve revenue targets. You will act as a "player-coach," balancing individual sales goals with team performance and development.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities by expanding the corporate customer base.
- Increase revenue and transition new strategic partnerships into the business.
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth through direct business development and team leadership.
- Maintain individual quota responsibility while driving team performance.
- Optimize new business opportunities across mid to large enterprise needs.
- Achieve individual revenue targets by developing and implementing a B2B business development strategy.
- Prioritize pipeline growth and achieve revenue targets across corporate, commercial, and government channels.
- Build key relationships and support seamless implementation of new partners.
- Negotiate and manage new agreements and contracts.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and customer needs.
- Make tactical recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with local operations and franchise partners to develop sales pipeline and growth strategy.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for the Business Development Manager team.
- Drive a high-performance culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and results.
- Set clear performance objectives, sales targets, and activity metrics.
- Support team members in opportunity strategy, pipeline progression, and deal closure.
- Provide subject matter guidance, training, and support to motivate team members.
Requirements
- Previous management experience in a similar role.
- Proven record of revenue growth and profit achievement in business development, account management, and sales.
- Knowledge and application of the strategic dimension of sales.
- Ability to manage key accounts to maintain existing business and identify growth opportunities.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of independence and initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
- Excitement for customer satisfaction, change, improvement, systems, and details.
