About the Role

Join Konekt and help us support 40,000 Australians back into work, recover from injury, and achieve their goals. We are seeking Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Rehab Counsellors or Social Workers to join our team of rehabilitation consultants.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and delivering culturally appropriate programs and services for First Nations clients to address life barriers.
• Empower clients and make a real impact on their lives with a focus on a holistic approach.
• Utilize specialist knowledge and skills to assist people to return to meaningful engagement in occupations.
• Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers involved in work-related or non-work-related injuries or illnesses.
• Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications, and interests.
• Perform a variety of assessments depending on clinical expertise, such as functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments.
• Manage cases effectively to plan, coordinate, and monitor client progress toward return-to-work goals.
• Engage with key stakeholders and build strong relationships to facilitate business objectives.

Requirements

• Must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person (genuine occupational requirement).
• Understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities.
• Well-developed communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
• Professional registration.
• Open to undergoing a pre-employment national criminal check.
