About the Role

Firmus Technologies is pioneering the development and operation of efficient AI infrastructure across Asia Pacific. We design, build, and operate a new class of digital infrastructure – the AI Factory – to deliver low-cost AI tokens globally. The Strategic Writer will own the coherence of the company's narrative across all external communications, translating complex technical details into accessible language for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Help to hold the master narrative across the business, ensuring consistency from website to corporate communications.
  • Maintain and evolve the Firmus tone of voice: confident, precise, commercially realistic.
  • Act as the writing standard-setter for external materials produced across teams.
  • Write and maintain the company's primary expressions of itself: website copy, corporate presentations, company profiles, capability statements.
  • Develop presentation content with leadership for investors, customers, partners, and conferences.
  • Ensure flagship materials stay current with business scaling, including capacity, projects, partnerships, milestones, key metrics, and claims.
  • Ensure consistency in the application of design for written materials across the business.
  • Describe Firmus's technology and platforms with genuine technical fluency, at the depth each audience needs.
  • Describe Firmus’s AI Cloud product features and details across a number of mediums.
  • Work directly with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure technical claims are accurate, measurable, and defensible.
  • Translate engineering decisions into commercial meaning, explaining their impact on cost, performance, or reliability.
  • Identify opportunities for Firmus to establish a public point of view and build the written case for it.
  • Lead Firmus' thought leadership strategy in line with the overarching corporate and product communications strategy.
  • Produce articles, papers, and explainers on the technical and economic substance of AI infrastructure under company and executive bylines.
  • Draft briefing papers, submissions, and explanatory material for government stakeholders on AI infrastructure, energy demand, and national capability.
  • Bridge technical reality and policy expectations on AI, energy use, sustainability, and economic impact.
  • Maintain factual accuracy, numerical integrity, and traceability in all published content.
  • Validate metrics, assumptions, and claims with internal teams before external publication.
  • Be deliberate about disclosure, managing what is said, to whom, and what is not.

Requirements

  • Experience writing about AI infrastructure, data centres, energy systems, or large-scale technical platforms.
  • Strong capability in working with numbers: capacity, performance, cost, efficiency, and growth metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience producing commercially oriented technical or policy content.
  • Ability to engage deeply with technical and commercial stakeholders and extract what materially matters.
  • Comfort operating in environments where accuracy and credibility directly affect commercial and policy outcomes.
  • Write with an understanding of cost, scale, and operational constraints.
  • Test claims against data, not aspiration.
  • Understand that in AI and compute infrastructure, credibility is a commercial asset.
  • Be deliberate about what is said, and what is not.

Skills

  • Communication (technical + non-technical audiences)
  • Ability to understand diverse angles of complicated issues and tell a consistent narrative
  • Attention to detail, consistency in approach to writing, formatting, and presentation
  • Managing multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership & ownership
  • Problem-solving under ambiguity
