About the Role
Provide mechanical engineering support for the Plant’s production processes, focusing on cost reduction, preventive maintenance, documentation, training, troubleshooting, equipment upgrades, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Manage mechanical projects, including developing timelines, controlling spending, managing resources, capital requests, training, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to support projects, including capital projects.
- Develop, acquire, and oversee the operation of new and existing equipment.
- Analyze malfunctions, improve equipment reliability, and direct Engineering and Maintenance associates during installation and troubleshooting.
- Provide safe and effective machine designs and associated documentation.
- Provide on-call coverage as scheduled.
Requirements
- BS in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Excellent data management and spreadsheet skills.
- Advanced knowledge and skill using AutoCAD Mechanical and Solid Works applications.
- Ability to effectively self-direct and prioritize process/project needs.
- Demonstrate and live Instant Brands Values and Behaviors.
- Experience in a 24/7 union manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Experience with vendor management and capital project finances.
- Highly organized and capable of operating in a demanding environment.
- Strong leadership skills while working with peers at all levels.
- Highly motivated and results oriented.

- Results focused with a commitment and desire to make an impact.
- Union experience highly desired.
