About the Role
Comand AI is building next-generation C2 software for real-world defense deployments. You will own end-to-end features on our operational planning platform, Prevail, working on geospatial problems and ML/LLM workflow orchestration. The role involves designing for on-prem deployment and interacting directly with users in the field.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end features on Prevail, our operational planning platform, from scoping through shipping
- Work on real geospatial problems, moving data between backend and frontend through tile servers and leveraging PostGIS for geo queries
- Build and harden ML/LLM workflow orchestration using LangGraph and LangChain, designing for retries, queueing, and long-running jobs
- Design for on-prem and appliance deployment, considering resource constraints
- Spend time with users in the field when a deployment calls for it
Requirements
- Full-stack experience preferred, or a genuinely strong backend focus required
- Comfortable owning a feature end to end: scoping, building, and deciding scope without PM pre-slicing
- Solid Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript skills
- EU citizenship (contractual requirement)
- Real comfort with ambiguity, as the roadmap shifts with the deployment pipeline
