About the Role
This position is responsible for fabricating parts for the assembly of Air Guns at Daisy/Crosman. It involves setting up and operating CNC lathes, milling centers, and other manual machines.
Responsibilities
- Performs all set-ups and runs equipment.
- Performs visual and cosmetic inspection for each part handled.
- Responsible for all quality checks and improvements in each part made.
- Prepares all parts to be sent out to vendors for other operations as needed.
- Follows directions of management to perform work efficiently.
- Takes initiative to keep scrap to a minimum.
- Focuses on company safety rules and policies to work safely on the job.
- Shares responsibility for compliance with safety rules and policies and reports unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor and follows up as needed.
- Performs all cycle counts.
- Responsible for accurate inventory management of parts in respective areas.
- Must be able to drive a tow motor and prime mover.
- Must have the ability to work with Mazatrol controls (Fanuc G & M code a plus) to set up, operate, and make any adjustments needed throughout the workday to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met.
- Must be able to read and comprehend drawings and specified dimensions to ensure quality standards are met.
- Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and adversity in a positive manner with vendors and supporting staff.
- Must demonstrate self-direction toward accomplishing department goals.
- Must adhere to good housekeeping and TPM responsibilities.
- Takes pride and ownership of area, processes, and equipment.
- Must be willing to help others on the team and in other areas of the company as the work load dictates.
Requirements
- Machine Shop fabrication experience required.
- Must have ability to reason, make basic decisions, read, and follow directions, oral and written.
- Must be able to drive a tow motor and prime mover.
- Must have the ability to work with Mazatrol controls (Fanuc G & M code a plus) to set up, operate, and make any adjustments needed throughout the workday in ensure quality and productivity requirements are met.
- Must be able to read and comprehend drawings and specified dimensions to ensure quality standards are met.
- Needs to demonstrate a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to overcome obstacles and adversity in a positive manner with vendors and supporting staff.

- Employee must be flexible to meet demands of all workstations on production floor as needed.
- Lifting to 30 lbs. required with an occasional lift of up to 55 lbs.
- Must be able to see and pick up small parts, using hands and arms to assemble or package product up to 100 % of the time.
- Mechanical ability needed.
- Mental toughness to overcome obstacles preferred.
- Ability to research problems and develop workable solutions on own needed.
- Employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Works in moderate noise level environment.
- Works in hot and cold working conditions.
- Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and concentrate for long periods of time while operating, maintaining, and monitoring heavy equipment and machinery, and while working with and around hazardous materials, at heights, in confined spaces or performing life-threatening procedures.
