About the Role
The Commercial Appliance Technician is responsible for responding to customer work orders, traveling to customer locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and providing timely and professional support for customers in the Brooklyn, NY territory.
Responsibilities
- Respond to customer work orders as assigned by the service manager.
- Travel to and from customer locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- View work orders electronically to be aware of the next day’s schedule.
- Take the company vehicle home each night.
- Report via phone to the remote manager in Albany.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Willing to drive up to 2 hours (one way) for service calls.
- Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must pass a drug test and background check prior to starting work.
