About the Role

Reporting to senior leadership, the Facilities Manager will oversee facilities operations, asset management, contractor performance, compliance maintenance, and capital planning across the Bankstown Sports Group. This leadership role combines strategic planning with hands-on operational management, leading a dedicated facilities team to ensure venues remain safe, compliant, efficient, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Facilities Management Department across seven venues and the Flinders Centre
  • Own all asset registers and associated capital replacement strategies
  • Manage preventative, reactive, and statutory maintenance programs across all sites
  • Lead annual budget preparation, capital forecasting, and cost-control initiatives
  • Manage tender processes, contract negotiations, and service agreements
  • Ensure contractor compliance and oversee contractor management processes
  • Drive service delivery standards and operational excellence across the portfolio
  • Lead minor refurbishments, capital replacement projects, and facilities upgrades
  • Work closely with operational stakeholders to ensure facilities support business objectives
  • Support ESG initiatives and sustainability projects across the Group
  • Act as the key escalation point for facilities-related issues and after-hours reactive maintenance

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior Facilities Management role
  • Experience managing multiple sites within hospitality, retail, commercial property, or similar environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing operational and capital budgets
  • Proven ability to negotiate and manage service contracts and maintenance agreements
  • Current driver's licence
  • RSA and RCG Competency Card, or willingness to obtain

  • Sound understanding of WHS requirements, contractor compliance, and risk management practices
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills
