About the Role
As the Principal Product Manager for Commercial Risk at Australia's largest commercial credit bureau, you will own the portfolio’s P&L and drive the strategic agenda to achieve revenue and profit targets. This market-facing role offers a powerful platform for industry-wide influence, modernizing the B2B data ecosystem and driving faster, more confident commercial decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic change by partnering with senior industry stakeholders to design, formulate, and deliver integrated strategic product roadmaps.
- Translate strategy into action by formulating and operationalizing business line planning, defining product positioning, pricing, promotion, and partnerships.
- Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) execution by managing comprehensive launch plans, including sales enablement, marketing initiatives, operational readiness, and post-sales support.
- Act as a market-facing ambassador to identify emerging issues and engage key influencers across the finance and credit management landscape.
- Champion change and innovation by leading the co-design of data-driven solutions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage monthly revenue forecasting, directing investment plans, and delivering actionable insights to achieve growth targets.
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers, partnering with global product, technology, data, and operations teams.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with financiers, insurers, credit managers, and government bodies.
- Work closely with Data and Analytics teams to identify, acquire, and utilise new data sets.
- Track, analyse, and report on key product performance metrics, managing risk, prioritisation, and product optimisation decisions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in a dedicated product management role, with demonstrated success in managing product lifecycles, GTM strategies, and product marketing initiatives.
- 7+ years of professional experience across commercial credit, procurement risk, due diligence, financial viability, or credit ratings.
- Proven experience delivering complex product releases or transformation initiatives within a highly matrixed global corporate structure.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience using core product management software, specifically Aha!, JIRA, and Figma.
- Hands-on experience performing financial statement analysis, commercial underwriting activities, or portfolio credit risk analysis.
- A Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business, Marketing, or a related quantitative/analytical discipline.
