Responsibilities
- Drive and operate equipment including a forklift, grinder, bobcat, hand striping equipment, blowers, and pickup trucks.
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/airport construction projects.
- Perform manual work in preparing surfaces for striping and maintenance.
- Move stencils and duct-tape to prepare for painting.
- Perform maintenance and protection of traffic.
- Maintain a clean job site by picking up all tools and equipment and securing the job site daily.
- Handle and store materials.
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Ensure proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Bring problems to the attention of the Supervisor, Human Resources Manager, or Safety Manager.
- Travel for extended periods of time.
- Travel independently and read and understand road maps.
- Comply with Federal Motor Carrier regulations.
- Work around high-pressure water systems.
- Perform basic pneumatic troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Ability to travel 4 - 6 weeks at a time.
- Good attendance.
- Willingness to learn.
- Pass a 10-year criminal background search.
- Meet badging requirements at all airports and military bases.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving history.
- Provide a Social Security Card.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
