About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality vegetation control and maintenance services across Council’s parks, gardens, public tree assets, verges, and other open spaces.
  • Carry out vegetation control, park, garden and tree maintenance activities to a high standard.
  • Identify and manage weeds, pests and plant diseases using appropriate control methods.
  • Apply fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides and other treatments safely and effectively.
  • Undertake landscaping, street tree planting, rubbish removal and general grounds maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain a range of plant, equipment and vehicles used in parks and vegetation management.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with work programs, KPIs and Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Complete required operational records and reports accurately and on time.
  • Contribute ideas to improve service quality, safety and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a professional, safe and tidy work environment for the benefit of the community.

Requirements

  • All successful candidates will be required to obtain a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process.
  • May be required to undergo a pre-employment medical check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for permanent positions.

  • $76,034- $83,067+ Super
