About the Role

The Digital Retail Engineering & Operations Graduate Program is an 18-month full-time program designed to help graduates deliver digital payments, customer authentication services, and technology platforms. Participants will gain exposure through multiple rotations and become permanent full-time employees with a guaranteed role upon completion.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of digital payment, customer authentication, and customer-facing technology platforms.
  • Work across development, engineering, and operations teams to build technical capability and understand the technology lifecycle.
  • Develop, test, and maintain systems using modern technologies, including APIs, cloud platforms, automation, and full-stack development tools.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve platform performance to maintain secure, reliable, and efficient systems.
  • Investigate customer and technology issues, identify root causes, and support the implementation of effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver technology solutions that support customer and business needs.
  • Utilize AI to accelerate engineering and operational outcomes.

Requirements

  • A university degree or higher (graduated in 2024-2025) or be in your penultimate year of university with graduation expected by the end of 2026 in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A credit average achievement (65%+).
  • Australian and/or New Zealand citizen, or hold valid work rights in Australia for the duration of the program.
  • A driven, enthusiastic, team-focused mindset.
  • Curious, hands-on problem solver, quickly learns new tech and tackles challenges head-on.
  • Ability to work 2 days per week in the Naarm (Melbourne) or Gadigal Country (Sydney) offices.
