About the Role

The NSW Police Force is seeking a Senior Business Consultant to join the Enterprise Resource Planning, Technology & Communication Services Command team. This role will assist business units in improving operational efficiency, delivering effective customer services, and achieving organizational goals through business reviews, recommendations, and project implementation. The position supports the HCM Payroll and Org Management solution within the SAP Upgrade Project, acting as a key link between business and technology to ensure the solution is fit-for-purpose and continuously improved.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on functional expertise in SAP HCM, including configuration, testing, and payroll cycles within a complex, high-volume payroll environment.
  • Develop and implement a support operating model for effective and sustainable service delivery.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships, offering expert advice on HCM processes and system capabilities.
  • Lead workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into system improvements.
  • Maintain deep subject matter expertise of the HCM solution and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience supporting government or large enterprise HR and Payroll operations, with an understanding of compliance obligations.
  • Strong capability in system support, including reporting, integrations, analytics, and complex issue resolution.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert with deep understanding of HR processes and system functionality.
  • Proven experience developing or contributing to service delivery/support models.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills, with the ability to build relationships, manage expectations, and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, including facilitation of workshops and presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands in a high-volume environment.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen.
  • Must undergo a rigorous National Police (criminal history) Check.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Security Clearance as determined by the NSW Police Force.
