Responsibilities

  • Contribute to a sustainable, client focused, primary markets underwriting business for MUFG clients in the Americas.
  • Improve communications internally across MUFG to maximize opportunities and improve efficiency.
  • Work seamlessly with Wholesale Banking to proactively deliver solutions for clients.
  • Understand process to facilitate the underwriting and executions of capital markets transactions that are originated by MUFG Group entities.
  • Coordinate the execution of associated products through other Group entities.
  • Maintain and update market data, create internal and external presentation materials utilizing analytics, enhanced writing skills, while demonstrating strong personal and professional conduct.
  • Maintain industry analytics, presentation materials, business analytics, budgets, forecasts, competitor analyses to facilitate management of a $1.25 billion global business
  • Learn and demonstrate basic execution skills and helps manage transaction processes.
  • Translates projects into deliverables and undertakes to define and deliver creative and compelling work product.
  • Participates in Firm wide efforts (recruitment, interviews, charity events, values drives, etc.).
  • Ensures deliverables are completed on a timely basis.
  • React to internal and external enquiries in a risk-sensitive manner, ensuring proposed solutions are appropriate for the clients and meets internal standards and limits.
  • Meet and deliver the requirements of the DUCC, KYC, and other committees, controls or standard policies and procedures of the Firm.
  • Conduct business in line with the Firm’s accepted local and global processes and local regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with the Firm’s internal risk and compliance requirements, controls and procedures.
  • Comply with the Firm’s policies and procedures, as amended from time to time.
  • Comply with the requirements of the Firm’s Volcker Compliance Program.
  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Comply with all licensing/registration and continuing education requirements.
  • Ensure that in the event you are involved in or conduct cross-entity booking activity you shall take reasonable measures to remain aware of and comply with all local regulatory and company requirements that such activity is subject to.
  • Conduct yourself at all times in a way which is commensurate with the Firm’s values and ensure that the needs of the Firm’s clients and the integrity of the market are placed at the heart of the carrying out of your duties.
  • Take reasonable measures to remain aware of key market and regulatory developments and, where necessary, attend training in this regard.
  • Ensure that all staff under your responsibility (where applicable) comply with, the Company’s policies and procedures as well as all rules, laws and regulatory requirements emanating from any of the regulatory authorities to which the Firm is subject.
  • Carry out management responsibilities (where applicable) in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures ensuring that all staff are fully trained and understand what is required of them in order to do their jobs effectively.

Requirements

  • Issuers are predominantly corporate, sponsor, FI and public sector borrowers who issue securities or execute loans that are sold to investors globally.
  • Should be able to run a transaction over time if the senior member of the desk is traveling.

  • The major responsibilities listed above are the material job duties of this role for which the Company reasonably believes that criminal history may have a direct, adverse and negative relationship potentially resulting in the withdrawal of conditional offer of employment, if any.
