About the Role

A pre-seed AI startup in the DACH region is automating the public tender process for architecture and engineering firms. The platform significantly reduces the time and cost associated with tender applications. You will be the third co-founder, taking ownership of a core technical domain.

Responsibilities

• Build a generation engine to create performance concept documents from firm data.
• Develop a reference database with automated maintenance of references, certificates, and CVs.
• Create a clean, GDPR-compliant cloud architecture hosted in the EU.
• Implement LLM/RAG pipelines for extracting and reasoning over German procurement documents.

Requirements

• Strong full-stack engineering skills with a track record of shipping product-focused features end-to-end.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, and/or NLP, or a clear ability and eagerness to learn quickly.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to build a company.
• Pragmatic and delivery-oriented approach.
• Comfortable with the co-founder role and equity-based compensation.
• Professional-level German language skills.
• Prior experience building a product from 0 to 1 (nice to have).
• Familiarity with German public procurement law (VgV, HOAI, Leistungsphasen) (nice to have).
• Experience with EU data residency and GDPR-compliant SaaS architectures (nice to have).
