About the Role
The Commercial Strategy team is responsible for the commercial terms the business operates under, ensuring alignment of all products and partner engagements. The successful candidate will manage the Commercial Strategy Partner Deal Structuring team, directing deal forums and frameworks to maximize revenue growth and retention while ensuring business and sales operate within standard terms. A key focus is supporting the sales organization in structuring non-standard partner deals within business risk tolerance in a compliant manner.
Responsibilities
- Manage team of regional Deal Forums, including Partner and Redistribution Deal Forum and Outsource Service Provider Forum.
- Lead a regional Partner and Redistribution Deal Forum.
- Incorporate the Artificial Intelligence Deal Forum into the Partner Deal Forum process.
- Collaborate to improve the overall process, including using AI to remove manual processes and train stakeholders.
- Work with non-standard deal terms, balancing risk versus reward and articulating commercial terms for contracting.
- Lead operational process criteria for deal execution approved at the PRDF.
- Lead communication and training of the deal forum process and execution across the organization.
- Manage integration of new commercial framework rules and policies, including AI use.
- Manage reporting on Partner Deals, including a monthly dashboard of approved deals and associated revenue opportunities.
Requirements
- College Degree plus 10 years relevant experience.
- Knowledge of D&A redistribution products, contracts, schedules, and usage rights.
- Familiarity with D&A big rules and D&A Commercial Policies.
- Excellent commercial and operational understanding, including a good grasp of business value drivers.
- Experience working in a complex, matrix organization and with global high-performing teams.
- Good understanding of the global financial markets.
- Proven ability to think deeply and quantitatively about business problems, providing well-balanced assessment and solutions.
- Professional approach with sufficient credibility and experience to gain the respect of internal stakeholders.
- Ability to drive and manage relationships and teamwork, building trust and credibility.
- Maintain effective working relationships with a range of people at all levels, often in virtual teams across multiple time zones.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting and escalating key issues and requests to senior stakeholders.
- Self-starter with the ability to balance competing priorities and manage time-sensitive projects.
- Service-oriented with the ability to provide fast, accurate support to internal and external customers.
- Problem solver with good attention to detail and ability to investigate and understand complex issues.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint and skills to perform detailed analysis using Excel.
- Detailed process orientation to support audit requirements of all deals executed through Partner Deal Forums.
- Legal background working with license grants is an advantage.
