About the Role
This role provides specialist financial impacts, insights, and decision support to NSW Trainlink, acting as a subject matter expert in financial analysis, modelling, and business partnering to optimize financial sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Partner with divisional leaders and stakeholders to provide expert financial insights, advice, and options analysis.
- Prepare financial inputs, impact analysis, and scenario testing to substantiate budget proposals and funding cases.
- Lead financial analysis and modelling to assess the impact of initiatives, policy decisions, and investment options.
- Prepare high-quality commentary, insights, and recommendations on financial performance for executive audiences.
- Contribute to planning processes by providing financial expertise and supporting the alignment of business strategies with funding envelopes and government priorities.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial management practices, tools, and insights capability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure consolidated results and reporting are informed by deep financial analysis.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, central agency counterparts, and external partners.
