About the Role

The Operations Coordinator position is responsible for quoting, routing, rating, monitoring, and coordinating international shipments (air/ocean import/export) from pick-up through to delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Deals directly with clients, customs, and agents to ensure the quickest and best movement of cargo.
  • Prepares documents necessary for export, import, and customs clearance processes.
  • Tracks and traces cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery.
  • Ensures accurate invoicing and job costing by populating TMF with correct billing and cost information.
  • Communicates with customers regarding freight disposition, including tracking, tracing, routing, dispatching, and rate quotations.
  • Communicates and corresponds with other Company branches and agents to ensure customer satisfaction and excellent service execution.
  • Identifies the most profitable shipment mode while meeting customer freight movement requirements.
  • Adheres to KPIs including DNI, LNR, Cost Accuracy, and ROTP.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong working knowledge of all rules, regulations, governance, and documentation preparations for Imports and Exports.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills are required due to the high volume and demands of the position.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to talk, hear, and use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to walk within the warehouse and inspect freight.
