About the Role
Join Richmond Upon Thames' Preparation for Adulthood team as an Adult Social Worker, focusing on assessments, support, and promoting independence for individuals and their carers.
Responsibilities
- Undertake assessments of individual and carers needs and risks to encourage independence, provide support and prevent harm.
- Work in partnership with service users and carers using a person-centred approach to maximize independence, wellbeing, and choice.
- Apply social work principles and values to guide professional practice and respect diversity.
Requirements
- A recognised Social Work qualification
- Current Social Work England (SWE) registration
- Experience undertaking assessments, reviews, and safeguarding interventions within adult social care
- Good knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and relevant legislation
- Strong multi-agency partnership working skills
- Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- A compassionate, proactive, and person-centred approach to practice
- A commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for adults and their families
