About the Role

This role involves representing the voice of the child in family court proceedings, undertaking assessments, and preparing recommendations for the court. You will work within a national organisation supporting children involved in family court.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the voice of the child throughout private and public law proceedings.
  • Undertake Child Impact Analyses, safeguarding assessments, and Section 7 reports.
  • Prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for the Family Court.
  • Work closely with families, legal professionals, local authorities, and partner agencies.
  • Manage a varied caseload while ensuring the child's welfare remains at the centre of all decision-making.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Social Work England registration.
  • Minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience within children's services.
  • Previous experience completing court reports (Section 7, Child Impact Analysis, Private/Public Law work).
  • Strong assessment, report writing, and court presentation skills.
  • Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
