About the Role

Speechify's mission is to ensure reading is never a barrier to learning. Our text-to-speech products are used by over 50 million people globally. We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to support our growing user base and contribute to new projects, driving our mission forward. This role is ideal for strategic thinkers passionate about product decisions and creating delightful user experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Actively shipping production code for the Speechify iOS app
Work within a dedicated product team
Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
Lead key engineering and product decisions

Requirements

Experience working on products that scaled to a large user base
Track record of working on various products from inception to decent traction
Responsibility for engineering products
Customer obsession: constantly provide the best possible experience
Product thinking: make thoughtful decisions about product evolution and guide internal teams and designers
Speed: generate ideas quickly and decide what can ship now versus what needs more time
Focus: know how and when to engage or be heads down in a busy, remote startup environment
