About the Role
Designs, develops, and manages the product lifecycle from concept to end-of-life, translating market opportunities into viable products and services that differentiate Equinix. Sets product vision and strategy, managing the roadmap and collaborating cross-functionally to launch new products and features. This role is part of the Equinix Smart Build Product team, which enables customers to rapidly procure and install IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative approaches to scale Smart Build product offerings.
- Coordinate with Smart Build product team and cross-functional teams for effective product management.
- Define metrics to inform product success and drive user experience improvements.
- Act as a product line expert, engaging with customers and internal teams to explain product lines.
- Gather, document, design, and test customer experiences, incorporating customer feedback into the Smart Build product roadmap.
- Create a shared vision and clear goals for the product, including a well-defined product roadmap, with sales engineers and operations.
- Research competitors and verticals, preparing reports on financial position, competitive position, and market potential.
- Create and collaborate on financial business models and conduct business opportunity reviews with leadership.
- Identify and collaborate with partners to enhance the product.
- Create backlogs, refining and adding detail as needed, and collaborating with technology teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations within and across functions.
- Proactively include correct stakeholders and communicate effectively.
- Understand stakeholder needs and build effective relationships.
- Utilize effective communication methods with stakeholders, varying the approach accordingly.
- Design product training curriculum and lead cross-functional trainings and meetings.
- Partner with Procurement for vendor selection and relationships.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Understanding of data center architecture and white space physical infrastructure.
- History of working in a team environment and closely with multiple departments and stakeholders.
