About the Role
Responsible for building and maintaining off-premise product displays, ensuring appearance and rotation standards are met. Works under the supervision of department managers and/or team leaders.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with store owners or managers for specific merchandise instructions while promoting positive relationships.
- Display merchandise to satisfy customer needs, emphasizing selling points like quality and quantity.
- Place new merchandise on display.
- Organize customer back rooms to be neat, clean, and to customer satisfaction.
- Repackage damaged packages and replace them on shelves or in coolers.
- Monitor shelf tags, ensuring they are current and sale tags are displayed on Sundays.
- Take inventory of stock and report low volumes and out-of-stock situations.
- Assist with resets as needed.
- Maintain current and themed P.O.S. to ensure maximum account coverage.
- Adhere to all standards in the sales manual, including rotation.
- Work collaboratively with delivery drivers and Sales Representatives to provide excellent customer service.
- Successfully complete all safety and job skill training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
- Knowledge of database software, Internet software, and order processing systems.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation throughout the workday.
- Excellent communication skills and people skills.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, push or pull up to 250 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision.
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
- Required to frequently work in a refrigerated atmosphere.
- Travels to various client accounts such as convenience stores, grocery stores, bars, and restaurants.
