About the Role
The Credit Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring loans, including clearing exceptions, borrowing base monitoring, covenant management, and document processing. This role provides backup support to Credit Administration Officers.
Responsibilities
- Monitor loans for compliance with loan covenants, including reviewing financial covenants, clearing exceptions, and approving files for imaging.
- Monitor loans with borrowing base requirements, including reviewing account receivables aging’s and borrowing base certificates, processing loan availability forms, and tracking compliance.
- Manage covenants within the bank’s monitoring system for new, renewed, and closed loans, and clear credit exceptions.
- Create borrowing base certificate and certificate of compliance templates based on executed loan agreements.
- Assist the Credit Department with various projects.
- Communicate with Relationship Managers, Relationship Associates, Loan Operations, and other Credit personnel on credit-related items.
- Focus on larger Bank relationships and provide guidance/support/mentoring to Senior and Credit Monitoring Specialists.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university preferred.
- At least 3 to 4 years of related experience and/or training at a financial institution in the credit administration department.
- Work-related experience should consist of a financial institution credit department background.
- Educational experience should be business or financial industry related.
- Minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in credit underwriting.
- Intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation.
- Advanced use of Excel.
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience with FIS system.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to multitask effectively and accurately.
- Extremely detail-oriented.
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Current driver’s license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive.
