About the Role

As a Personal Support Worker (PSW) at Circle of Care, you will provide essential in-home support to seniors, following personalized care plans. This role involves direct personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and offering companionship. You will travel within your community to client homes and maintain communication with coordinators and supervisors for scheduling and support.

Responsibilities

  • Support seniors living in their own homes by following care plans.
  • Provide hands-on personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with light housekeeping.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support.
  • Travel between client homes within the community.
  • Stay in regular contact with coordinators and supervisors for support and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Ability to work at least one day every other weekend.
  • Available at least 24 hours each week.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
  • Current immunization records.
  • One of the following qualifications: PSW certificate (approved Ontario curriculum), DSW certification, RN/RPN student (minimum one year completed), Internationally trained RN, RPN, midwife, or physician, Home Support Worker, Health Care Aide, Personal Attendant, RN, RPN, Paramedic, OTA/PTA, CDA, Child & Youth Care, Internationally trained allied health professionals.

  • $3.00/hour Permanent Compensation Enhancement
  • Additional increases based on tenure
  • $0.60/hour premium for evening and weekend shifts
