About the Role

R1 is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Business Intelligence organization. This high-impact role delivers decision-grade intelligence across the enterprise, translating P&L complexity, revenue cycle economics, and operational performance into actionable insights that drive measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an intelligence architect across R1's service lines, diagnosing and designing solutions for data-driven decision-making gaps.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex questions into structured analytical approaches and deliverable intelligence products.
  • Design and maintain semantic models and views that define business measurement standards, creating governed, self-service data layers.
  • Architect intelligence solutions across multiple delivery channels.
  • Direct AI-assisted tools (Claude, Snowflake Cortex Intelligence, MCP integrations) for code generation, report building, query optimization, documentation, and output validation.
  • Design and maintain intelligence agents for natural-language analytics, replacing manual report requests with conversational insights.
  • Contribute to R1's Rapid Reporting Platform for faster deployment of intelligence products.
  • Own the analytical integrity of solutions end-to-end, including data validation, semantic model accuracy, and stakeholder sign-off.
  • Manage work within an Agile/sprint framework using Azure DevOps, ensuring transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies.
  • Proactively identify and propose solutions for business intelligence gaps, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Communicate findings, recommendations, and delivery status clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Mentor and elevate team members by sharing architectural patterns, analytical frameworks, and AI-assisted workflows.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years' experience in BI, analytics, or data architecture with a demonstrated ability to translate business problems into analytical solutions.
  • Strong proficiency with Snowflake SQL and semantic model design.
  • Experience with or strong aptitude for AI-assisted analytics workflows (e.g., Claude, Snowflake Cortex Intelligence, MCP integrations).
  • Demonstrated business acumen, understanding the connection between operational and financial metrics.
  • Experience working in Agile environments using Azure DevOps for sprint-based delivery.
  • Proficiency with GitHub for version control and collaborative development.
  • Familiarity with modern self-service delivery platforms (Posit Connect a plus).
  • Experience with R or Python for analytical scripting, automation, or report generation is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex analytical findings to any audience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment without compromising quality.
  • A systems thinker with a growth mindset, identifying patterns across problems and building scalable solutions.
  • Healthcare / revenue cycle industry experience preferred.
